WNC: Charity and Community Support

Love. Jesus teaches us love.

We should give however God convicts us to give. With that said, in our volunteer trips to help with hurricane relief in Western North Carolina, we have come across three organizations that we can personally vouch for. They work for the Lord, and we believe he is using them to answer prayers.

Black Mountain Home for Children

Black Mountain Home is a faith-based ministry established in 1904 that serves children from birth through college age and beyond. Some may stay only a few weeks, while others may spend a considerable part of childhood and development in their care. Like everyone else in WNC, they were devastated by the historic flooding of Hurricane Helene. Money sent to them means warm beds and full bellies for children who rely on their ministry.

Just the Crumbs

Gods perfect plan put me in touch with Brandy, one of the missionaries for the organization. Brandy gave us several days of work in the middle of no where, exactly where we were supposed to be. He also put together a Christmas dinner and toy drive for families to have some sense of normalcy after disaster. Cabins 4 Christ

Campers Care Ministry started Cabins 4 Christ in the wake of Hurricane Helene. They construct and provide temporary shelters for individuals and families who have been faced with physical, emotional, and spiritual storms in life.
